The Alamosa Dental Surgery Center offers a variety of options to help alleviate any dental anxiety, including sleep dentistry. We will discuss with and help you decide which type of sedation you may require. You have the following options:

Local Anesthesia only: an injection is provided to temporarily block the pain around the affected tooth and gum tissue. You will remain awake and alert throughout the procedure.

Nitrous Oxide (or laughing gas): is offered in conjunction with local anesthesia and helps most people reach a deep state of relaxation. You will remain awake but relaxed and not alert for the duration of your procedure.

I.V. Sedation (sleep dentistry): you will be sleeping throughout the procedure.
